Just by reading the summary of this book breaks my heart. I usually wouldn't read a book with such a devastating premise but this has to be the most intriguing synopsis I've read in a while. I know that while reading this book I'll be a total wreck but it'll be worth it just to read about Miriam's recovery and what happens to Penelope.

Grief and loss are unfortunately permanent themes in our lives and sometimes books like these can be just what is needed to help cope with it and make people realise how resilient we can actually be as a human race.

Not being able to overcome one's grief is very tragic for the whole family because it affect every member. How one recovers and rises up seemed to be central focus of this novel. Very nice plot. This seemed to be a timely and relevant book. Congrats!

Your review provided a view of a story about the devastation of losing loved ones.
I rarely read novels from the romance genre, yet the sample pages from Pressing Flowers
present topics about family and friendship that I would like to continue reading about.
Congratulations on Book of the Day. Well written review.

A story more about emotions and pain, I think I’ll pass on reading this but thanks for the review.

The demise of Miriam Jones's husband should be heartbreaking and devastating to her future plans and ambitions. I hope that Emma and Charlotte would dissipate the necessary support to Jones for her to overcome her fears and pursue her future objectives.

So this is basically a story about grief. Life goes on, even if the grieving person doesn't. But I do like that Miriam is taking the steps to get her life back together. Great review.

Thanks for the lovely review, but this sounds way too sad for me (and I know I'd never get over my beloved's death, either), so I'll pass on reading it.

Thanks for your thoughtful review. It sounds like this book would be one that would tap into the readers emotions regarding the characters. The main character dealing with her grief and loss. I can only imagine but I'm disappointed that it takes her mother giving her a major wake up call to get her to start straightening out. I don't think this book will be a good fit for me.

I love emotional parts which can make somebody cry. even though I always have preferred action-packed books to read most of the time, I think this would make a nice change to it. great review. it really helped. :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-studyingbrown:

It's wonderful that this story is so powerful and I did download and sample a copy. Stories that make one weep aren't my style though, so I'm not sure how far I'll get with it. Thanks for the nice review!

I can relate to her intense feeling and needing assistants to help her climb out of the deep end of grief. A very relatable story that gives hope to all those who are grieving and a wonderful, "debut novel." Great review!
