Pressing Flowers by Katie Blanchard is a story which takes the reader on Miriam's roller-coaster as she faces her loss, finds joy in her family, and wonders if her wounds will ever fully heal. It is a heartbreaking portrayal of grief and human resilience.

I'd surely need more than a box of tissue if I'd read this book.

I had the feeling it was one that would make me cry just from reading the sample on Amazon. But I also wanted to know more...to follow Miriam on a journey that would be a nightmare for anyone. I don't even like to imagine what losing my husband would be like. I'm not fond of books that make me cry but I'll keep this one for consideration and for curiosity's sake. Maybe if I just read a few pages at a time....

Pressing Flowers by Katie Blanchard

The book will be an interesting read. Grief, depression, and the effort needed to move on after the loss of a love one are topics to which everyone can relate. I look forward to finishing the book.

I like realistic and emotional stories about pain and how to overcome. I like the fact that for Miriam, her mother and sister were there to guide her from the pain of losing her husband, and in turn help her, regain the relationship with her daughter Penelope. Thanks for the beautiful review.

After reading this review, I couldn't not read the book. And I must admit, what a ride that was! The author portrayed the emotions of Miriam really well, that is one aspect that impressed me throughout the book. The review too was well-written in the sense that it captured all essential characteristics of the book. 'Katie Blanchard' is a name that I'll keep an eye on. The book deserves the four stars given by the reviewer and I hope to see more of the author's works. In my opinion, everybody should read this book. It will make you cry, but it will also leave a sense of joy and hope towards the end.

Emotional stories are interesting they put the readers through a rollercoaster ride of emotions a story that can touch the reader emotionally and that we can relate to is worth reading

This sounds like an emotional read. Miriam could be any of us and maybe this makes her relatable. To get over any trama, we must all at some point choose to move forward. I think I'll read this book when I need a good cry. The cover is perfect as well.

The book sounds wonderful for those who are looking for a really good cry. I, however, enjoy stories that help me escape this world with its crime and terror and tragedy. Though this may pull at my heart strings, I would rather have something tickle my funny bone. Thank you for your enlightening review.

I really love the idea of this book. Afyer reading the review, I felt that I would want nothing more than to share Miriam's journey and find out how a person can turn back even from the point of complete breakdown and regain the control of her life. Awesome review!

I have read some of the book, " Pressing Flowers", by Katie Blanchard and it is a very good good so far. The author started the book very mysteriously then led into the man characters Mariam;her daughter, Penelope, and her mother. It has alot of descriptive writing within this book so far. I look forward to finishing this book. I give it 4*'s.

The book is so touching. I have read a few pages, and those few have hauled emotions of sympathy from me, for Miriam and her daughter. I get to understand a little about grief,and the misery it brings. Your review is good, it has encouraged me to finish the whole book.

“Feel all the feels” is exactly the correct sentiment for this book. There is much to be said for a book that can get me blubbering like a little girl in the prologue already. Miriam is a character so many people can relate to - the pain of love lost is hard to deal with under any circumstance.

Wow, this looks like a really emotional book, but I still want to read it. I'm thinking it was going to be fun reading thi on, emotions have to be dealt with a some point. Congratulations for making it book of the day.
