I’ve had a couple friends lose their partners suddenly and it was heartbreaking to watch them go through that. I am a wimp for books like this but I also like that books have the power to make you feel for people you will never even meet. Mostly because they’re made up characters but you know what I mean. Thank you for this great review. I could almost put myself in Miriam’s shoes while reading the review. It sounds like a great read!

The books seemed too realistic. The story line is very catchy. What Miriam feels after her husbands death is very emotional. I like how the author crafted the story. Great author, Great review!

This will be a hard one for me to read, but one that I certainly want to read. It looks like I'm going to be spending some time reading with my tissue box in hand for this one.

I think that this will hit pretty close to me, but instead of being the grieving spouse, I'm the one left to pick up the pieces while my mom is still trying to put her life together. When my dad died from lung cancer, it felt like my mom stopped living for quite some time. She's fortunate to have my brother and me at home to help out when we can.

I am mindblown by this book. Truly realistic story that makes us think about things we usually refuse to think about. I've always been a fan of books like this, and this one ticks all the right boxes for me.

From the sample I can tell this is going to be a great book. I’ve worked in funeral service for many years and I’ve seen scenarios like this time and again. Grief is such a hard thing to go through and I feel like this book is going to touch on grief and the hope of new beginnings. Thanks for the great review.

This story defiantly sounds like it tugs at the heart strings. The character development alone would be worth reading it. Thank you for the review!

I don't do well with books like this so I think I'll pass, nice review though I could feel the grief while reading it.

Thanks for the review. It's an interesting plot where Miriam strives against her grief and tries to get control over her shattered life for her only hope, her daughter. It is very difficult to get over the lose of your loved ones. Have added it to my to be read list

I have read the Prologue and first chapter. I felt as if I were reading about myself. I suffer from severe depression and this author has captured the feelings in a way that makes me realize that this is how my children have grown up. It brings all of that guilt to the forefront and makes me feel like a failure. These are all normal feelings of one who is depressed.

I can't wait to finish this novel because I know that Miriam will persevere. I want to go on this journey with her, and maybe help myself in the process.

Thank you for this wonderfully written review. I will be sure to keep the tissues handy while reading.

The way you wrote the review made me feel the sadness this book brings. I like character-driven books and this one seems to be relatable too. Thanks for this review!
