I’ve had a couple friends lose their partners suddenly and it was heartbreaking to watch them go through that. I am a wimp for books like this but I also like that books have the power to make you feel for people you will never even meet. Mostly because they’re made up characters but you know what I mean. Thank you for this great review. I could almost put myself in Miriam’s shoes while reading the review. It sounds like a great read!

Wow! For me its a really beautiful book,i like the story its both good but at the same time makes one try fit in Miriam's shoes,which is very hard because she has to make a decision to stop mourning and take care of her daughter, for me I love it

I think that this will hit pretty close to me, but instead of being the grieving spouse, I'm the one left to pick up the pieces while my mom is still trying to put her life together. When my dad died from lung cancer, it felt like my mom stopped living for quite some time. She's fortunate to have my brother and me at home to help out when we can.

From the sample I can tell this is going to be a great book. I’ve worked in funeral service for many years and I’ve seen scenarios like this time and again. Thanks for the review. It's an interesting plot where Miriam strives against her grief and tries to get control over her shattered life for her only hope, her daughter. It is very difficult to get over the lose of your loved ones. Have added it to my to be read list

I have read the Prologue and first chapter. I felt as if I were reading about myself. I suffer from severe depression and this author has captured the feelings in a way that makes me realize that this is how my children have grown up. It brings all of that guilt to the forefront and makes me feel like a failure. These are all normal feelings of one who is depressed.

I can't wait to finish this novel because I know that Miriam will persevere. I want to go on this journey with her, and maybe help myself in the process.
