With such a beautiful cover and title, Katie Blanchard's novel could only be an emotional story. I quickly got attached to Miriam. I'm wondering how she will manage to move on after her husband's death and if she can rebuild her life for her daughter's sake. Thanks for your review!

I do love a good character-driven story, although I'm not sure if I want to go through such an emotional read right now. It seems like such a sad story, but those can be among some of the most satisfying stories as well. I'll keep this on my "to read" list for when I feel more like reading it. Thank you for the helpful review.

I can feel how heart touching this book is just from your review. Such a realistic and relatable story. I'm sure if I read this, I'll cry my heart out. I don't think I can handle such an emotional read right now. But I already got my copy and will read it when I feel more comfortable with it. Thanks for the detailed review.

An engaging emotional read dealing with the extreme situation in one's life, (like experiencing the death of a close one in an accident, but still moving on in life), that can get you into tears is definitely the kind of genre that suits my interests. Thank you for the review!

I have read this review and the sample, and I must say I absolutely agree with your comments. This is an exceptional book and I can’t wait to read it. Stories that explore the depth of human emotions really appeal to me and I don’t mind a few tears along along the way. Great review of a fantastic book. Well done!

I'm not sure I'm ready for how emotional this story will be for me. It's very easy to lose it when going through such grief, but it's good to know that the main character was resilient.

I've just read a few pages. Well, I absolutely agree with you; Miriam's grief is so clear that it is nearly tangible. The characters are relatable, and you can't help but feel invested in the story. I love reading romance, so I got my copy! Thank you for your detailed review!

When reading a book, I am often curious of the biography of the author. I wonder how they are able to dig so deeply into the characters thoughts, feelings and actions. While reading this, I felt that Miriam was real and her grief for her husband and baby were as accurate as I could only imagine. Miriam's character grew throughout the book. She, with unwanted assistance at first, found her way back to the 'world' and began living again. When tragedy strikes a second time, she is more prepared and able to stay on track for herself and her family.

I could not stop reading this book. It has a raw tone to it and feelings are spilled all over the page. It is also funny and sad and so lifelike. Penelope, Charlotte, and Miriam are so real. I'm sure we have all been there in some fashion. One can only hope for much more from Katie Blanchard, she has something to offer.
