Now, if the author adds some pages, I think it would help to get to know the characters better and become a much more complete story. As it is now, I'll pass on it. Thanks.
I agree, either one way or the other - add some pages, or reduce the story.

Well, on the bright side...it was over really quickly.

Always a shame when a book doesn't live up to its potential because the author is too quick to push it to being published.

Rachel Lea wrote: 08 May 2019, 13:44 The plot of Within the Stars sounds pretty basic and unoriginal, but I feel that in the hands of a more experienced writer, one with a better grasp of pacing and character development, this story might have worked. Oh, well. Thanks for your review!
Oh, well, indeed! I hope the author takes another shot at it, hopefully she will get better as she goes on!

I couldn't agree more. Without someone to cheer for - there no point!

32 years of age is trully hectic without a ring on it especially when Rebecca desperately wanted to be wed.

I wonder what the author was going for in this story. It doesn't seem like there was any overarching theme. I'm glad it was a short story so you didn't have to suffer through more of this book.

Maybe a novella? Stiff writing, annoying character, "boring" crammed into 20 pages... I'll pass. Thanks for a fab review, though!

It's really unfortunate this short story was not well-edited. With only 20 pages, I think editing would have been a little easier. Thank you for this wonderful review!
