I agree, either one way or the other - add some pages, or reduce the story.kandscreeley wrote: ↑08 May 2019, 08:52 I'm really not sure how even a great author with tons of experience could cover that much time in so short a book. It's just not feasible. Now, if the author adds some pages, I think it would help to get to know the characters better and become a much more complete story. As it is now, I'll pass on it. Thanks.

Always a shame when a book doesn't live up to its potential because the author is too quick to push it to being published.

Oh, well, indeed! I hope the author takes another shot at it, hopefully she will get better as she goes on!Rachel Lea wrote: ↑08 May 2019, 13:44 The plot of Within the Stars sounds pretty basic and unoriginal, but I feel that in the hands of a more experienced writer, one with a better grasp of pacing and character development, this story might have worked. Oh, well. Thanks for your review!

I also wonder what she was going for. I still can't quite tell you.unamilagra wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 19:34 I wonder what the author was going for in this story. It doesn't seem like there was any overarching theme. I'm glad it was a short story so you didn't have to suffer through more of this book.

Thank YOU for reading my reviewJanelle Juncos wrote: ↑10 May 2019, 14:11 Maybe a novella? Stiff writing, annoying character, "boring" crammed into 20 pages... I'll pass. Thanks for a fab review, though!

Lol! Never occurred to me I could use zodiac signs in describing people. To use your words, we learn something new every day! Each boy is painstakingly described, all the way down to their star signs.
Great review!
