I opted to review it and had to read it online. The e-book copy I got was all garbled. Did you have any problems?
That's quite common with kindle ebooks. I read it on my smartphone.

I used to read a lot of Enid Blyton, Nancy Drew and Wishbonr. I really did like mysteries as a child.

When I was very young I was addicted to children's fantasy and horror. I loved Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, The Old Willis Place, and so many others. If it was creepy or supernatural then I was into it. This pattern continued for years until I moved schools and stumbled across the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. I remembered my friends from my old school recommending it to me and picked it up on a whim. That series has since become my absolute favorite book series to this day. It's aimed at younger readers, but treats them maturely and introduces them to a vibrant, interesting world that continues to grow to this day. The characters are all diverse and have a complex web of relationships and backstories. The conflicts are engaging and you really feel the tension as events transpire.

My favorite children's book is The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. The pictures! The magic! If I close my eyes and concentrate, I can smell the hot chocolate, feel the chill of the northern forests, and see the festive lights of the North Pole. Excellent read that never gets old!

From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

I read this book when I was a child and had to re-read it to see what I thought about it as a man. It’s a grand adventure. A quick read about two siblings who run away from home and live in a museum for a week and end up experiencing the greatest adventure of their entire lives.

My favorite book as a child was Anansi the Spider. It was my first introduction to Asante folklore. I can still remember my teacher reading it to me as I sat on the alphabet carpet in her classroom. The art was so vibrant and full of life, and the story spoke to me. Cushion is still one of my favorite characters in literature.
