I might just add this, if only because I love descriptive poems. It seems like it will be a beautiful read.

The book Painting With Words by Ian Prattis sounds like an extraordinary collection of poems.
Your review gives me the impression that the poetry in the book is remarkable because
of the author's sincere view of life and the world around him. I will put the book on my
reading list. Excellent review. Congratulations on Book of the Day.

I'm not really a good fan of poetry. I'm however glad that these poems evokes emotions even while it chronicles the author life story. I might give it a try. Great review.

I was struck with the elegance of Painting with Words by Ian Prattis. Being Canadian with Scottish heritage I made a quick connection with the content. Prattis uses his pen wisely as he paints a portrait with his words that is it is hard to turn away from. An interesting selection of poems. Highly recommended. :D

I like that the author has written this poetry collection with openness and vulnerability. It sounds like a beautiful book, but I am not a huge fan of poetry in general, so will likely pass on this one.

What a collection! I am glad that the poems in this book have elicited a positive response in the reviewer that they have read the book more than once. This is the hallmark of good poetry. Nice review.

It is an unusual benefit to have some background from the author about his poems. Usually, with poetry, the reader is left solely with their own interpretation. I think I would enjoy reading the poems and then getting to see what the author was thinking. Great review.

With my current level of English language, I don't believe it is possible to really understand and appreciate fine art of words and rhythms. Anyway, I would like to congratulate author with BOTD and compliment reviewer!

Poems can be the pieces of someone's life put in one place for us to put together. I'm surprised this book touched you so deeply. I haven't read any poems that have an impact on me, so I'm looking forward to reading that one and learn the lessons you mentioned.

While not into reading poems, I am amazed with authors with the talent and skills of expressing their thoughts thru this medium because not every author has this. Congrats!

I like that this was written during different times in the author's life. It's almost like a journal in that way. I wish I would have done something like this in my life. I think it would be great to look back on the bad times and see how they have now become beautiful. I am very interested in this, although I am not a huge fan of poetry. Thank you for the review!

The book being an emotional roller coaster adds onto curiosity on the content inside. Poems that make the poet an old allay mean a lot to the reader.

Congrats on this wonderful review.
