I suspect the book was meant to be written that way but I'm generally not a fan of insta love and even when I do enjoy it, it has to be done very well.
I know it was just not done right. I guess I am just not a fan of cheating or immature characters in novels in general.

Do you think that things would be better if cheating wasn't part of it?

Yes, to me as well Sky was rather stalkerish.

The oddest thing about that is that there were plenty of opportunities to present her with friends. She has a bunch of coworkers that she could have confided in or, if you're not into bosses being friends with subordinates, she could have been friends with Juliette.

The letters were definitely of that nature. "I know where you live but I won't show up so love me"?

I didn’t like how she was a security expert yet, Sky was always one step ahead of her. I also didn’t like that she slept with him the first day she met him and it was unprotected :roll2:

To be fair, Sky is part of the Air Force. With that being said, I do agree with you about that

Lol. My stalker should at least take me to dinner first.

Seriously though. A lot of what was supposed to be romantic just fell flat.

In a different thread someone else pointed out that Cynthia may not have had formal sex education, but the pregnancy thing still boggles my mind, and Sky's lecture definitely didn't make itnseem more romantic.

Doesn't have formal sex education? Did someone say that? Really? I just can't believe that... I mean it seems unlikely that 20 something woman doesn't know about periods and that unprotected sex leads to pregnancy. I don't know what the author thought to gain with writing such character with all her traits....so annoying.

I mean in mystery suspense action whatever this was supposed to be I didn't really expect a bunch of hearts and flowers moments but this what we got just :snooty: :hand:

Neither did I but I still thought it would make more sense and be less, I don't know, sketchy?

Not with that exact phrase (I was trying to come up with a way to say it and seemed to have failed?) but I think they were more trying to guess at what the author was trying to do than defending what she did do. I mean, Cynthia does mention at the beginning that she's a country girl and from what I've heard, sex education in the U.S. isn't always good? I don't know since we learn about it as part of biology here.
