I gave Cynthia and Diane four out of four stars. I really liked all the mystery kept going on and on. I didn’t like that sky was one step ahead of Cynthia as Cynthia was the security expert so much so she was the bodyguard for a senator. But apropos of nothing I still gave it four stars :?

I couldn't help but wonder why the book was titled Cynthia and Dan. Between Dan and Sky, I think Sky played a more prominent role. Dan's character didn't quite have a huge effect on the overall plot. I think Dorothy May Mercer could have done more with the characterizations.

I struggled to enjoy Cynthia's story due to the weirdness of Sky. He, to me, seemed incredibly creepy, and I was surprised that the author would write Cynthia as wanting to keep seeing him. I thought the drone story was interesting. However the two separate stories didn't feel tied together well enough for me. I would give this book two out of four stars. It was well written, but did contain a few editorial mistakes. I would be interested in reading more of Mercers' books to see if I enjoy those more.

I like the book it had a little romance and a little mystery about what could really going on in Washington and the White House. It makes you think about toy drones and real drones and how it could cause a war.

I enjoyed the cyber war part of the book and found it interesting, but hard to follow. Cynthia's love life was poorly written and thrown in I think to give it more of an appeal, which it lacked.

The development of the characters were another issue for me as they were thoughtless. Sky was unbelievable at best, as he was supposed to be a major in the armed forces but reduced to nothing more than a stalker, and love sick schoolboy. These characteristics truly turned me off from the character. Dan was only introduced in a negative and stalking light with no clear ending which disturbed me as well. The author attempted to make Cynthia this independent woman, but at the same time ditzy and clueless.

If it weren't for the adult themes I would possibly recommend this for a teenager, but I would not recommend it to another adult.
I'm not done with the book just yet but I have to agree with most of your opinion the characters just didn't do it for me

I think the author has a good writing style, fast-paced, and puts ideas over well. Sky was unreal all the way through, and Cynthia's attraction to him did not gel with her character. I'm not sure why Dan was there at all. I thought Glenn and the geeks were good enough for the story. I gave it 3 out of 4 stars.

I liked the book alright, not my favorite. The title really threw me off, since the story wasn’t about Cynthia and Dan but Cynthia and Sky. Some of the twists did actually take me by surprise though so that was nice. I would probably give it a 3 out of 4 stars.

I was ready to read a book that was a light and quick read, and this one matched the parameters. I liked how Mercer covers some serious topics but kept it light. I didn't like all the errors, given the books written by Mercer on editing. I would recommend this one to anyone wanting to read something quick without deep thinking and serious analysis. I rated this book 3 out of 4 stars because of the errors.

I liked the premise of this book. If I read about it in outline form, at a brainstorming level of development, I would think it had a lot of potential. When it comes to how the author executed those ideas, I feel like too many things were unrealistic. The main characters themselves were inconsistent. I am not super tech-savvy myself. Parts of the cyber war felt unrealistic, even to me. Overall, I think I would rate this a 2 out of 4 stars. I would like to give it somewhere between a 2 and a 3.

To be fair, I only read the sample chapters of the book on Amazon, and there seem to be some twists in the story later, but after reading those chapters, I would not buy the book. I couldn't stand Sky from the very first sentence he said in the book... So, no from me...

I would not recommend this book to anyone. Misleading cover and title aside the plot line and underdeveloped characters are just too much for me to tolerate and I just can't accept that no one edited this book or maybe pointed it out to the author that such choices are leading to pure frustration and annoyance of the readers.
The issues I had with Cynthia are too many to name them all now and I am sure I did it many times in other topics it is sufficient to say I really dislike her. But to end this on a positive note I did an audio version of this book and the narrator really did an excellent job with it.

This was not a book I could relate to or recommend. I think Cynthia’s quick relationship with Sky was such a turnoff early into the book that it kind of ruined it for me.
