I do think the title is appropriate. The book is a rewriting of the Old Testament - a veritable history of Israel. This is literally a verse from the Bible - a very fundamental promise that God makes in the Bible to Abraham (having to do with the promise of children), and one that He makes good on.
One needs to understand that holding on to the principles in the Bible is a fundamental concept of the Christian world-view. When you read that this is a rewriting of the Bible, I think it is important to accept that this is a point of view, perhaps different from yours, but very important to another person. Live and let live, I would say! I think we are all entitled to our own beliefs and views and shouldn't have to apologise for them or re-word them for the sake of diplomacy. People need to let other people live with their own beliefs, especially when no one's forcing their views on anyone else.

The title immediately sounded biblical to me and reminded me of something I had previously read in the bible, so I would say it was appropriate. I do think that people who aren't familiar with the bible won't quite understand the reference without reading a description of the book.

I think it is quite suitable. When I read it, I automatically thought of the promise God made to Abraham, that he would make a great nation from Abraham's offspring. The rest of the Old Testament is the story of that nation.

Yes, I think the title is appropriate for the book. From what I can remember from Biblical stories, Israel is a nation favored by God. He protects them from evil rulers and prophets and messengers of God were born among the Israelites. This shows its greatness in the eyes of God.

I thought the choice of title is great! This very familiar verse of the Bible is God's covenant with Abraham, that if he follows His ways, he will provide many descendants. Christians of today are the "descendants" of Abraham, as are Muslims and Jews.

The title does not convey that the book is based on stories of the Old Testament. The title is good, but the book could have done with a better title.

I think the tittle fits perfectly. The Old Testament stories are mainly about the Israelites, and what God does to build them up to be great and fulfill his promises.

I think the title didn't really summarise the book properly. A broader and more encompassing title like 'the old testament' would have done more justice to the book but generally, this present one can still be managed.

I didn't really relate well to the title. I felt it was a bit old-fashioned and that it would not come across as very attractive to prospective readers. It relates to the contents in a very broad sense, but there are so many better verses that could have been used to inspire and attract people to want to read this book.

I don't think that the title fits the story. The book is about the Bible. The title makes the book sound like a political novel or one of those charity/community stories.

I found the title an odd choice, seeing as the book is about promoting the teachings of the Old Testament in a new and modern way. it could also mean that only those undertaking the teachings of the Old Testament are able to create a great nation. This second version is a worrying thought, especially in current societies where religious conflict is still ripe in many countries.

Omg yes, I thought the book was about history, as in about politics and stuff in a different way. Something related to Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther. I was shocked to find out how it was all about religion

Yes, since the title is a biblical reference, I thought it was appropriate.

I think that pulling a direct Biblical quote is appropriate - and those that are interested in this genre will understand the inference.

The title is suitable for the book becouse it is showing the relationship between God and his creation, the fact that the old testament contains the story of Abraham who was promised to be a father of a great nation really qualifies the title of the book.
