This one on my list as well, but I have to finish a couple of books before I get to it.

The book is on my list, but I have a couple of books I want to read before it.
So, we can't have a read-a-thon on it? haha, love your signature, too gali :)

Only if you wait a few days. I am in the middle of another book right now.

Thank you. :)

I do. I loved 'The Handmaid's Tale'.
Great. I will order my copy on or around the release date. This is my first read-a-long, so not sure how it all works. But hopefully it'll be a good experience 😏

Me too. I will let you know when I have it. :)

We decide on how it works, mainly we read at the same time and compare impressions, so it should be fun. :)
Hi gali, just wanted to touch base with you about "The Testaments". Have you begun reading it yet? I am still on-board for the read-a-long if you are.

My copy is being delivered on Thursday 9/12/19. Was supposed to be here on Wednesday, but the USPS f*cked it up, lol.

So please let me know if we're still good to go. Greg

I didn't start it yet, and we are still on. I am in the middle of another book, but I believe I will finish it today. We can start on Friday if you like.

Hi, I have the book and read the 1st chapter. It's a lot different (the book) than what I was expecting/hoping for. I suppose I should try another chapter or 2 - because I felt the same way when I started 'A Man Called Ove'. And now I am a little past the half-way point. Do you have any advice for getting off to a rough start, with a new book,?

@Gravy and @hsimone, when do you want to start Dead Voices? I will finish my current book in a day or so and want to know whether to start another one.

I'm ready whenever, but I'm not in a hurry if you want to go ahead and read something else. :tiphat:

Hmm...

Let's give it just a bit more (I'm super afraid to push my post-slump reading; I'm not sure what I'd do if it came back :faint: ).

Maybe some time around the first of October?

That way, maybe @hsimone can join? (And maybe I'll feel a little better about my reading. )

That sounds good to me. My library account says in about another 2 weeks I'll get the book, so starting the beginning of October should work out well for me! :)
