An adult romance story about love, loss, and questioning ones life for forever is nicely presented in the novel "High Hopes" by Sue Lilley, which follows three best friends Grace, Dixie and Sam and contains plenty of their flashbacks. The novel appears to be quite engaging.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Good review. I like the fact that this is all about secrets. Something a little fun but naughty. I can’t wait to see what happens as secrets are revealed. I’ll definitely add this to my books to read list .

I'm enthused about reading a novel set in England. Three best friends uncover some secrets from the past. It sounds like a fun and easy read.

I'm pleased that you liked it so well. It does seem that the author put a lot into the writing of it. However, this is not my genre at all, and not something I think I would enjoy reading. Thank you for your review.

Romance is no where nearly among my preferred genres. So much that I even try to avoid any other that have this word included be that suspense, paranormal or else. However it only applies to modern romance. I do adore Aust and more of that time period when romance was romantic.

I'm not a fan of romance so this book isn't for me. Although the realistic plot and interesting characters are intriguing.

Thank you for your review! Your approach is very insightful and I enjoyed reading how passionate it made you. I love a good ol' dramatic romance with a slice of life. I will definitely be reading about their wild lives! And all these secrets I'm hearing about? 20-year Secret? Her secret is almost as old as me! :o

The book sounds interesting. It seems to be very heartwarming but at the same time an emotional roller-coaster that will keep you glued to the pages till the very end. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Grace, Sam and Dixie sounds like amazing characters. Just like Grace, most people tend to hide secrets which later come to affect their future, something they would have avoided or rather a secret they would have opened up earlier. High Hopes by Sue Lilley sounds intriguing and I will give it a try. Great review.

a story that questions ones whole life orientation is surely a book worth checking, if not by all but definitely by me.

It is a good book. I read the entire the sample in one breath and I would have stayed all night if I had all the book. This is what I call talent, to keep the reader hooked and oblivious of anything but.
There's one thing that puzzled me. It all happens in England you say. How haven't I noticed? So is the writer British? Or is it an American living in England. I would vote for the second case. Hm.

When I saw that this book was a romance, I was a little put off on it. I'm not too into romance novels but this one seems to have more depth to it! Thank you for the review! It has changed my mind about the book. :tiphat:
