As I’m not a fan of romance novels, I’m going to pass on this one, but I’m happy you enjoyed the “English flair” and the cast of supporting characters. (As a person from the U.K., I can honestly tell you that it’s not all luscious gardens and pulsing seas, especially where I live!)

Sometimes we are forced to keep secrets in fear of losing something or someone very special, but the consequences of living with it are far much worse than the benefits of opening up in the first place; because, you always feel haunted by the past. This book's plots sounds thought provocative and I assume it to be of much help in dealing with personal secrets that could affect important connections for a better future. Thanks for the informative review.

I've had my ups and downs with the romance genre lately, but I do find myself enjoying the genre more when the story seems to be about far more than just the romance, which definitely seems to be the case here. The complexity of the plot and the thorough development of even the secondary characters--something that always puts a book over the top for me--definitely tip the scale in favor of reading this. I'll have to keep it on my list for when I want to get lost in a bit of drama. Thank you for the helpful review.
