For someone who has not read the previous books, through the review it helps to know which characters are from the previous books and how the story takes over from the previous books. Helpful review as it helps decide whether to read the books 1 and 2 first or try this as a stand-alone. Also helps to know and be prepared that it has scenes of physical torture. Thanks for the very helpful review!

Catrin’s position as a slave sounds utterly unpleasant, but the hope of reviving her relationship with Marcellus sound like it will drive the plot forward. I like how Catrin rescues a fledgling raven in the opening pages to fulfill a prophecy made by her father.

This is an amazing historical Celtic Fantasy novel on War, love, trust, faith, and Roman politics. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has a perfectly written OnlineBookClub review. I rated the book 4 out of 4 stars. Congrats

Although I love romance, historical romance? Not so much. I think I will pass "Amulet's Rapture" by Linnea Tanner on. I believe some readers would love this.

A very informative review. I like historical books. Although Im not in the mood for a romance, this book looks interesting.

I read the first book. I got the second but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. It's nice to see that Catrin is still a strong character in the third book.

I personally did not like the book after reading a sample of it. However, I liked your review, as it was well justified.

I couldn't make it through the first book in this series. This third installment sounds like even more of a soap opera. Sorry, not for me!

Historical fiction is usually my favourite genre especially when mixed with some romance. For that reason, I will consider reading Amulet's Rapture by Linnea Tanner because it also seems interesting. Great review.
Books are beautiful.

It sounds as thoughh this book will fit well with the others in the series. I'm not keen on gruesome details or too much violence in a story, so I will probably pass on it. It's a plus it is well-edited, thanks for your detailed review!

I love the Roman empire stories. It is a time where humanity had a test like no other. A test to develop as a people. To become a team, to forge a future together. Thanks for this candid review.

Am not really a fan of romance stories but this storyline sounds so intriguing to read. am just scared about romance scenes because its actually why I don't like romance books that much. I would really love to check this book out.

Great review! It is quite helpful that there is a summary of the first two books in the series and a glossary of characters; it makes it relatively easy to read and understand (or remember) the progression of the story. I like that the plot centers around a female warrior with a mix of magic, romance and adventure, all set in historical times. Good job, Linnea Tanner.

This is a story of forbidden love that takes place in historical times. Catrin must endure a lot of adversity and live a life that involves being a tortured servant. It does sound like an amazing love story. Congratulations to the author and thanks for sharing a thorough review.
