I've read this book and really enjoyed it as well. Even though Jonathan and Marion have a substantial age difference, their love for one another is pure. I love how we see their relationship from many different time periods in their lives. Thanks for the review!

I liked the description of Marion and Jonathan and their twisted life. It seems to be unusual story with travels in beautiful cities. This book has picked my interest. Thank you for your engaging review.

I like that "Breaking Sandcastles" by Kirk Burris has well-developed characters. An older woman attracted to a younger man; well, it is a controversial issue because they will face society scrutiny and disapproval. I would love to know how they overcome these challenges.

The review rearranges the moves of the book in their chronological order. I would disagree that the book is set in 1960. That year may be just the starting point of the romance. But there is no more time spent at that time than the periods in Paris, or in the south of France, or back home where it had all started.
An interesting way to describe the characters as three-dimensional. The title seemed to me a little gloomy, especially as the romance is a happy one.
All in all, a nice review of a nice book.

The subject matter is a tricky one and I'm glad the author handled it well. Overall, it seems like a great feel good romance story.

I enjoy romance novels, but I'm not a fan of the time period that this story takes place.

Good to hear that the book has elements of mystery and murder too, I would probably not have picked up this book if it was solely about romance. An easy flow to the book also makes it easier to read in one go. I would definitely consider picking this book up. Thanks for the detailed review.

It is a sensitive plot to tackle and very interesting to say the least. Teacher-student relationships that go beyond the norm is timely and relevant and I hope this issue is resolved in this novel with an ending that is a learning to both sides.

I'm intrigued by the premise, but also by the places mentioned in this book. I've yet to read something set in Monte Carlo, so I now have a good reason to try.

There is so much more information in this review than the small sample that I read.I ended the sample thinking that it would be an ok read, however upon reading the summarized points of this review, I think the book holds much more than I assumed.
