I enjoy romance stories. This one has an added twist of an age gap between the couple. Unfortunately, that doesn't sound like something I would like to read about. Still, it sounds well-written and developed.

From reading a sample of Breaking Sandcastles by Kirk Burris and the review by micoleon13, I find it a novel of unique love, pain, and joy. I would like to read the book since it begins in the 1960s and transpires through a lifetime of true romance.

A romantic novel set in the 1960s, follows two main characters, a new art teacher, and one of her students, she is careful to maintain her purely professional relationship, a story with romance and drama, recommended for anyone who enjoys of a good romance and that you like to read about love.

I liked that this book encompasses many aspects apart from romance. Marion's reminiscences hint at a lifetime of happiness, until her life topples over. I would like to know what happens. Thanks for the wonderful review!

Thanks for the excellent review! I love romance novels, and I love it when they have the excitement of murder and mystery added in! Add to that the romantic places of Paris and Monte Carlo and this book is bound to be a winner! :lire4:

Great review and I look forward to reading this book since the characters are well developed. I like that you pointed out the emotions that it made you feel which is inspirational to know this BOTD is that well written.

It sounds like this author did a nice job with this novel. Complex characters, a little mystery, and an interesting story about an art teacher's romance with her student. Thanks for the great review.

I like novels set in the 60s; it was such an exciting time. I also like when the author tells the story from the perspective of a variety of characters rather than just one, as is the case here. I may give this one a look. Thanks for the review, micoleon :techie-studyingbrown:

I enjoyed reading the sample of Breaking Sandcastles. I found that I got very involved in Marion and Jonathan. So much was said about these 2 people that I have to finish the book.

A very intresting novel about an art teacher and her student. Romance is not my genre, but this one sounds very unique and interesting. I think i'll pick it! Thanks for the review.

Good review. Sounds like an adventure. A teacher getting involved with a student is never good news. Throw in some murder and suspense and you have my interest. Can’t wait to read this.
