I liked review and how book was presented in it, enough to consider possibility to get the book. But after studying free sample I confess that I wasn't all that impressed. Now I somewhat undecided - can it be that book will improve later on?

This book reminded me somewhat of The Notebook in its use of reminiscing about the past and how these two characters came to love one another. I like that metaphor about life being as fragile as a sandcastle on the beach. I think that this is the perfect metaphor for how unpredictable life is and the struggles that you have to go through. I love that the author used multiple place settings not just one to illustrate the passage of time.

I like the metaphor of the sandcastle. Not a typical love story, but sounds interesting.

Even though I don't like romance novels this book caught my eye with well developed characters and interesting plot. I might give it a try.

A very informative review, thanks. I am quite partial to different narrator voices and like the idea that some chapters are written from Jonathan´s viewpoint and others from Marion´s.

They say love knows no age limit, for age is just a number; but sometimes I think age matters and telling from the teacher-student relationship plot, I think this is a must-read for romance fans. Thanks for the informative review.

I loved how the cover art, the sandcastle, is a symbolism of how things can change from day today. This works perfectly with the story as well. Even though there is a big age difference in the protagonists, can a love story be made? I look forward to reading it to find out. :)

As a young person it was interesting to see the perspective of an older woman. I might pick this book up in the future.

Based on your review this book looks like a pleasurable read and the characters are not boring. Sure seems like it deserves the four stars.
