Sandcastles are something that is easily wash away the author was implying with the title that their love is not something that will last society scrutiny. Or something that would stand up to tests of time and that their love was to unpredictable to last.

I loved your review of "Breaking Sandcastles". I just finished reading the book, and truly got swept up in the story. It was like I was in their lives, enduring their tragedies and reveling in their joys. Burris is indeed an accomplished writer! I also appreciated the symbolism of the title, indicating the fragility of life - especially at the end when the sandcastles are broken and built up again for them.

Sandcastles are something that can easily be washed away I really like the title of this book which actually drew me to this book. The author was implying with the title that their love affair is not something that is going to last the test of time. Society scrutiny is not something that can stand up to the ravages of time and that their love was to unpredictable. I love a good love story under different circumstances of course.
