I'm a huge fan of the Bourne Ultimatum which I read in two days while I was getting some bed rest for a bad flu I had. Best and worst two days of my life.

I read his novels during the 1980s and 1990s liking his worldwide conspiracies, his protagonists' trips in different countries with the inclusion bits of local culture and even language. After many years it's hard to say which is my favorite: I'm thinking of starting reading them again but it will take a lot of time!

I saw the Bourne movies and held back on the books. I understand the books were different?

There are huge differences in the movie adaptations, to the point that after the first book the movies have little more than the title in common with the books as the plots got incresingly modified.

Yes I heard he was married in the books and it was more about identity theft than amnesia

Yes, in the books Jason Bourne is trying to rebuild his life, also with a love-story with the woman who becomes his wife.

I have several favorite books that are written by him like The Rhineman Exchange, The Osterman Weekend, The Holcroft Covenant, The Scarlatti Inheritance, The Matarese Circle and of course The Bourne Identity.
