Fans of graphic novels will most definitely enjoy this book. A loose adaptation of Samson's story sounds interesting, especially since the book focuses on the first half of Samson's life and the love story between Samson and the little known wife of his youth. Both the illustrations and the accompanying captions are great. Thanks for a wonderful review!

Your review has cleared up the muddy waters! I read the sample pages and was so lost! I’m not a comic book type reader and the jumping around of the story didn't help. Now I see the connection between Samson and the story of him and his first wife. Not so sure this one is for me, and I do know my Samson story pretty good. I just don’t think this is my genre. Your review was incredibly helpful!

Nudity description in any book is a turnoff for me. Thanks though for the review.

This imaginative book is just a little too imaginative and graphic for me. I did know about Samson's first wife and why they didn't marry. Some may call it prudish, but I just can't stomach such graphic depictions of love-making and nudity. I feel my Christian life is better off without it, according to my understanding of the 10 commandments. But, thank you so much for the informative and sensitive review!

It sounds like the author has used one of the greatest Bible stories to create an interesting tale of his own. I may give this one a look. Thanks for the review, Butterscotch. :techie-studyingbrown:

I'm not really into the comic book structure or mythology (unfortunately - I wish I was!) so I think I'll pass on this one. But I am so glad you enjoyed it. The illustrations are wonderful, albeit gory. Thanks for a detailed and informative review!

The theme portrayed is plausible. Unfortunately, I don't fancy reading comic books. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

I believe that graphic novels are a new form of art which combines writing or literature with actual art. Graphic novel is a much better term than comic and I have used it for decades, myself.I think the art sounds fantastic and the dialogue also sounds inspiring and exciting as well. This novel sounds like it brings life to a bible story that is not as well known as people think. It sounds like a great read which I will enjoy. Your review was very descriptive about a form of novel that I have not seen reviewed before, and I enjoyed it.

Child of the Sun Complete Edition by Michael Van Cleve sounds quite amazing and enjoyable. To be honest if anyone had asked me before who Samson's wife was, I wouldn't hesitate saying that it was Delilah. Looking forward to reading this book and familiarizing myself with Samson's first wife. Great review.
Books are beautiful.

This graphic novel definitely sounds like a nice read. I appreciate the great work done by the author on writing this comic book. Reading the story of Samson would have been a very interesting thing to me were it not for the full-frontal nudity and depictions of sex it involved. I'll skip this one. Thanks for your review!

Thank you for your great review!

This sounds like a very interesting take on the biblical story of Samson and Delilah. Being a Christian myself, I'm curious to see how the author would thread the story of the biblical account along with the Greek mythology. I'm not too thrilled about the full-frontal nudity displayed in the graphic novel, but I do thank you for giving your readers a heads up.

Thanks again for your review!

This loose adaptation of Samson's story sounds interesting. I wonder how the author spun the story.

This sounds like an interesting version of the biblical story of Sampson. It is told through comic book stories and features more characters from the ancient world. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.
