Congrats to Michael Van Cleve for BOTD honors. "Child of the Sun" looks like a brilliantly illustrated graphic novel. I can't wait to read this book.

Samson the man of strength and sweetness. The lover of women. Leave it there. May God not allow women to lead all men to hell. It is terrible what some women can do. May God help us the men. But, who is to be blamed: the women or Samson?

I'm quite familiar with the Biblical story of Samson and Delilah. Thus, I'm compelled to also reach out for this piece. It surely will be interesting as well. Thanks for the review.

For comic book lovers, especially those who enjoy stories of the ancient world, this sounds like a great addition to one's library.

Great review. I’m interested to find out about this first wife. It also caught my attention that’s its in comic book form. Congrats on the BOTD.

I always love a new take on familiar subjects or in this case, new pieces of information. I don't think I ever read something like this. I might give it a chance. You gave very good reasons for it in your review. Bring in the classic hero.

The book sounds interesting. Everyone knows the story of Samson and Delilah but it will be interesting to read this story of his first love. Besides the combination of the Bible and Greek mythology sound intriguing. I wonder how that will go. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Based off the the blood and gore in the first pages of the book, I decided this wasn't a book for me. I did think the illustrations were beautiful though, and the content does sound interesting based off your review. You have a way with words!

This was a well-written, thoughtful review. I sped through the pics as they were a bit graphic but I could not stop reading because I wanted to know the author's perspective on the Samson and Delilah biblical account.

It has a very interesting take on the Bible that's for sure! I am not interested in the story about Samson and Adrianna though, so I will pass on it for now. I have read many fictional books about the Bible; I just need a break! Kudos to the author on BOTD! :)

I have never particularly enjoyed graphic novels, so I don't think I will read this. It does seem like a more interesting premise than the typical superhero comics, though. Great review!

I enjoyed reading comic books as a child, but I have not read any in recent years. This sounds like a good way to relay stories from the Bible to comic book lovers. Thank you for your review!

I was unaware anything from the Bible had been covered by graphic novels. What a great way to pique the interest of modern readers.

Who would have known that the story of the biblical Samson had to do with full frontal nudity and depictions of sex if not for this book? Lovers of graphic and comic stories may enjoy this one. Thanks for a well-thought-out review.
