This sounds like an absolutely delightful ride of a book! Your descriptions remind me just a little bit of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," which is one of my favorite short stories. I'll definitely have to pick this one up. Thank you for the fantastic review!

Who are you?

Unfortunately, I don't like "down the rabbit hole" type of stories and may be the only human being who tried to read Alice in Wonderland at three separate times in my life but gave up each time.

However, I wonder if anyone could have reviewed this particular book as well as you did. You have analogies, lovely phrasing, a good sense of dry wit and your reader constantly in mind. You made Twilight of a Dream so cool sounding even I was tempted to "go for it" purely because of your review.

So the real question I should be asking is not if I should be getting this book but will you notify me when YOUR book is published.

I am definitely anxious to read more of your reviews.

You flatterer you! Thanks for the lovely compliments. Really though, you've never finished Alice in Wonderland?? I can't even remember how many times I read it as a child! It's good to know that someone shares my sense of wit. I don't laugh at many of the things others seem to find hilarious and find hilarious things others don't! It's a curse...or a gift...I'm not sure. As far as a book of my own...well...I've tried. It just...didn't work. I get lost somewhere in the middle. I'm far better at writing short things like reviews. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!!

Sometimes when you have a vivid imagination you start on a story and then get inspired about a different story and off goes your imagination.

As far as whether or not our "wit" is a blessing or a curse? Probably a bit of both.

But as for Alice, it just makes me feel weird and off-balance. But I kept saying to myself, "It's a CLASSIC you fool. You have to read it!" But by the time I was pushing 40 and figured I should try and follow Alice into Wonderland ONE ... MORE ... TIME. I suddenly thought. "No". Life is short and time is too valuable to spend it doing things I really don't want to. But I appreciate everyone who has read it more than once. You're keeping the status quo up.
