Machu Pichu sounded so romantic and ideal until the writer pointed out the effects of altitude sickness. I have also been to South Africa but the only part of this adventure that correlated with anything I've done was the safari. However, I safaried in Tanzania rather than South Africa, but nevertheless, there were a lot of similarities and many of the descriptions were accurate.
