Broome has to make a travel back home in research her departed ancestors
June Gillam gives a fascinating story of the past clashing with the present. It's a story of lost love, murder, magic and ghost.
It’s an interesting book to read

I liked the themes of motherhood, family and heritage mixed with Irish folklore. It fitted well with murder mystery. It took me longer to connect with it which maybe is do to the fact that this is third book in the series. Recommend it to the fans of murder mystery with some myths tales incorporated in it and cast of interesting female characters.
I really like the combinations of all of the topics mentioned in the book! Especially mythology and folklore! Can't wait to read it!

Ireland is one of the destinations I've always wanted to visit. I think by reading this book I could at least step into it!Cynthia_Oluchi wrote: ↑16 Mar 2020, 15:44 This interesting book, to a very good extent, exposes great history studies of Ireland. I felt like I was already in the country. Also, the father-daughter relationship between Hillary and Claire is one I would like to call 'sweet'. Honesty is the basis.
Though the book has a dull start, it could be recommended to people who place values on family and love.

The twist and turns in the book, slowly draws me to the story, making me thirst for more.
I haven't been to Ireland before but it feels like I have spent my lifetime there just by reading the book with the way June Gilliam infused the Irish culture in her book.
It is so resonanting.

Especially watching as the scenes unfolds as if watching a movie.

I agree with your rating. The book starts off way too slow

I felt just the opposite. I disliked the slow start, I like a book to jump right in and grab my sttentionKatie Canedy wrote: ↑25 Mar 2020, 15:07 I think that it deserves a 3 out of 4 stars. It was very slow-paced at first, which I enjoyed. In the end, however, I felt that everything was very rushed with little to no explanation. Hopefully, if there is a book following this one, there will be an explanation for the missing links.

I don't know why I'm not connecting with the story-line. The narration pace seem to be slow and dry. I feel like something is missing in the story or I had higher expectations about the book.
I don't want to give my rate because I might be too mean.

I think it's definitely worth checking out.
People who read are hiders. They hide who they are. People who hide don't always like who they are.
