This story taps into the yearning we all have to uncover our starts .Hillary Broome goes to her Irish origin to uncover her family history, but the Emerald island‘s betrayal of its own people . We try to carve away the protective facades of civilization but often are left naked and fatally exposed to the unexpected. Hillary
Broome has to make a travel back home in research her departed ancestors

June Gillam gives a fascinating story of the past clashing with the present. It's a story of lost love, murder, magic and ghost.

It’s an interesting book to read

I liked the themes of motherhood, family and heritage mixed with Irish folklore. It fitted well with murder mystery. It took me longer to connect with it which maybe is do to the fact that this is third book in the series. Recommend it to the fans of murder mystery with some myths tales incorporated in it and cast of interesting female characters.

I really like the combinations of all of the topics mentioned in the book! Especially mythology and folklore! Can't wait to read it!

Though the book has a dull start, it could be recommended to people who place values on family and love.
Ireland is one of the destinations I've always wanted to visit. I think by reading this book I could at least step into it!

I think that it deserves a 3 out of 4 stars. It was very slow-paced at first, which I enjoyed. In the end, however, I felt that everything was very rushed with little to no explanation. Hopefully, if there is a book following this one, there will be an explanation for the missing links.

I find this book just so much interesting to me, but not surprised to see another great work by the author due to the other series found earlier.

I love books with slow start because it gives me a better understanding of the book. A totally intriguing, suspense filled book, with a truck load of lessons to pick from especially the mother and daughter relationship. It gives me ideas on how to relate with my own daughter.

The twist and turns in the book, slowly draws me to the story, making me thirst for more.

I haven't been to Ireland before but it feels like I have spent my lifetime there just by reading the book with the way June Gilliam infused the Irish culture in her book.

It is so resonanting.

I find the book interesting, captivating, and intriguing.
Especially watching as the scenes unfolds as if watching a movie.

I agree with your rating. The book starts off way too slow

I felt just the opposite. I disliked the slow start, I like a book to jump right in and grab my sttention

The book features various aspects of life, such as motherhood, relationships, adventure, and culture. One of my favorite character is Bridget. I like her courage and boldness when making decisions. Additionally, she does not allow emotions control her way of dealings.

I don't know why I'm not connecting with the story-line. The narration pace seem to be slow and dry. I feel like something is missing in the story or I had higher expectations about the book.

I don't want to give my rate because I might be too mean.

I merely read the official review, but it sounds promising.
I think it's definitely worth checking out.

I didn't really like this book. It took an effort for me to keep reading, owning not only to the very slow beginning, but also to the fact that I just couldn't get into it. Objectively, I can say it was a good story. But as a mystery, it just didn't do it for me. I gave it 2 out if 4 stars.
