Re: Particular Bible verses to help you?
To be honest this is the one I know the best and that I like when it is sung in church.Kanda_theGreat wrote: ↑23 May 2020, 07:13 Psalm 23 is my all-time favourite. I tend to believe that in wring this chapter, David was casting his whole life to God and reminding himself of God's crucial role in his (David's) life.
"...Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil..."
it resonates with me as well. And gives so much strength.

You have a point. Interpretation can be tricky and also is very subjective.

Yes, I enjoyed how the Bible verses were done in the book as well. Psalm 91 is my favorite passage in the Bible. I'm glad it brings you comfort too!daphne_asir wrote: ↑23 May 2020, 21:37That's amazing! I seek comfort with psalm 91 as well. I love how this book dealt with the Bible verses.B Creech wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 16:14 I like all of the verses the author used in the book. I have found a scripture that helped me through a crisis, Psalm 91. I used to fear everything, but especially being alone at night. I knew I had to conquer that fear because I WAS alone every night since my spouse traveled! One night I was praying to ask God to give me something to help me with my fear and I turned my Bible to Psalm 91 and claimed it and have not been afraid since. That was over 30 years ago! I thought the stories were all great and the Bible verses fit so well with what was being conveyed in the book.

This helped me because only by love and the feeling of righteousness we can reach life and happiness.

This is Corinthians 16:13. It is definitely the Bible verse that's helped me the most, and I hope it finds you well, too!

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. (NIV)

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
It’s comforting to know that even though the Lord is always with us, but when we are in any problem, he is even more close to us.

Amazing story.angiedeeh1 wrote: ↑23 May 2020, 23:34 My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I got it tattooed on my arm after I was hospitalized for severe depression and subsequently lost my job after 15 years. It's a great reminder.
My favorite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 31:6
:Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
I was going through a rough patch and it was the first time I heard God clearly.
The way the book references Bible verses and adds Prayers at the end of each section makes it quite enjoyable.
