The book has some very interesting ideas, and it was a fun read, but as a Christian, I did not fully agree with the authors description of God. I rated the book 3 out of 4

Based on the BOTM discussion topics and the review of the book, I don't think I will read the book because while being creative in imagination is encouraged, I don't agree with the author's idea to add the missing segments in certain Bible accounts. It's like the author is trying to out-smart the author of the Bible, God. Additionally, I will be extra judgmental about the book, which isn't an up-building idea.

The author was creative, talking about the known stories in the bible then direct readers to the unknown, which the bible didn't address. I really loved this creativity since it made me want to read more, like a suspense. What I liked least is that unlike my expectation of the book being about Abel only, it also had some other stories of the bible. I would recommend the book to christians, since they'll find it more interesting. While others might not like it much.

The review to the book was indeed very intriguing. The writing style of the author was great from what I picked by reading first few pages and the so far the book has been captivating. Hope it ends to be a 4 stars read!

I had a hard time getting the book, couldn't get it from Amazon, but you can download it in a special format under today's BOTD link, and there is information available on how to get the book in the folder you're usually reading from (phone, Kindle...).
Thanks for the tip. Had a hard time getting it, too.

I would read a book that clarifies parts of the Bible that were not understood by me. I believe Killing Abel gives you a chance to retrospect and lets you see the deeper meaning from a different perspective.

What is your overall opinion of the book? What do you like most about it? What do you like least? Will you recommend the book to other people? Why or why not?

Please remember to add your actual rating using the book's page on: Bookshelves.
My rating of the book is 3 out of 4 stars. While I think the author did a tremendous job in writing the exegesis, there is one gap he did not address. Apart from Adam's family, were there other people in the world? Their is a part he talks about "people in the square" which makes you wonder if the world was really inhabited by Adam's family alone.

Mixed feelings about the book! I'm not that into devotional or inspirational kind of books, but, the review made the book somewhat interesting.

The comment section here has made this book sound really interesting. I'd be interested in seeing how the author explores the biblical context.

This book is directed at a Christian audience and point of view. The story focuses on Adam and Eve and their lives before and after the tumble of man and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.
The story of Cain and Abel is another interesting story In this book. The story is a bit centralized on the Bible. This is an exciting book to read. I recommend it to any Christian. Non-believers may not like this book. I like reading Christian books so I will rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The author did a good job.
