Need help with a kindle book!

Have them send you the mobi file to your email. Download the mobi file to your desktop and then just click on it.

Otherwise, just have them gift it to the email account you use when you buy books or what not on Amazon. Then you will get an email telling you have a gift and instructions on how to get it.

I don't have an actual Kindle either. I have the app on my computer and my android. I have received several 'gifted' books.
