Heyy I'm Andrhea. 18 years of age I'm a new member of this group and I can't decide what book I should read since there's a lot of interesting book out there. My favorite genre is sci-fi and fantasy. I hope you could recommend me a book that I can read that's all

I haven't read a lot of sci-fi, but I have read some. If you haven't read the Illuminae series, I highly recommend it. It's such a reading adventure especially because it's an epistolary style of writing. Another good book I've read is Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, which I absolutely loved. You could also check out another series by the same authors, Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, called Aurora Rising. I haven't read it but I hear it's good.

When it comes to fantasy, I'm more of a fairytale person. I don't read much fantasy on its own if it isn't based on some sort of fairytale. So, some good fantasy books that I've read are Cinders: The Untold Story of Cinderella by Finley Aaron, Shard of Glass by Emily Deady, and Forest of Firelight by Shari L Tapscott. The last one I've read some but haven't finished, but I like what I've read. I think it's really creative. It's like a new fairytale if that makes sense. I've also read books that while not completely fantasy have fantastical elements and are really good. The two books I recommend here are Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte and To Best The Boys by Mary Weber.

I hope you enjoy these books or this at least inspires you on what to read next.

I haven’t read a lot of sci-fi but I have read a lot more fantasy books. I would highly recommend a duology I have just finished a couple of months ago it was “Strange the Dreamer” and “Muse of Nightmares” by Laini Taylor. It is one of the few fantasy books out there that has a complex plot and is beautifully-written as well. If you love poetic narration, you’ll definitely like this one.
