I agree. 9/11 was a horrible day with such a huge impact on our wonderful country and the world.

It is a sad day. It burns me up every time I think about it. It makes a person want to take those bastards and string them up by their gonads.

There have been a lot of documentaries on today about the Twin Towers, 11 years and still seems unreal, I have seen them all before but every time they are on I watch them again, it has nothing to do with with morbid curiosity but more to do with disbelief, it certainly is one of the most astonishing acts that has been seen virtually live on TV that anyone is ever going to see. My heart goes out to the families of the victims on this sad anniversary.

Two days ago, arabs attacked the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya and murdered our Ambassador to Libya,
Christopher Stevens, as well as 3 State Department employees. President Obama has vowed to "bring the perpetrators
to justice." What's that mean Mr. President? If you want my vote in November, you better get busy. Here's an option
I like: Drone Benghazi until there's nothing left. Not a goat, a mosque, an arab, nothing. Start listening to your
constituency. It comes with the territory.

The attacks on our embassies brings to mind an old adage..no good deed goes unpunished. We have given billions in relief to Egypt alone and to the other nations as well . I don't approve of killing innocents...we've had that happen enough..look at the twin towers. There has t be an answer somewhere. Unless you can get the people directly responsible, more killing isn't the answer.

It always makes me sad when people who should know better use their position and the freedoms they enjoy to manipulate the actions and emotions of less educated and less fortunate peoples. :(

I'm reminded of a quote from Kahil Gibran ...

Ay, and he falls for those ahead of him,
who though faster and surer of foot,
yet removed not the stumbling stone.
We fade away, but vivid in our eyes
A world is born again that never dies.

The problem is those SOB's want everyone else dead. Its as simple as that. Nothing will change unless people on both sides change.

I am pretty peeved at the parents of small children in our street who allow the kids to play unsupervised in the street because it is leading into a cul de sac. I stop every time, as I did today but then as I started forward this little girl just ran out in front of me. Slammed on the brakes, she got a fright I got a fright and not a parent to be seen.

Thats always bugged me too. I dont see it so much here in Mexico, but in the US Ive seen 4 and 5 year olds running out in the streets unsupervised. Every day you hear of some kid getting hit by a car.

At the grocery store yesterday I noticed two little ones running around a convertible next to the car they'd arrived in. They were fingering the doors and running in back of it into the driving lane while the mother sat in her car on a cell phone. What is the matter with mothers these days? I was about to go over there when she finally took charge.

I'm saddened by Chris Stevens' death. He was the American Ambassador to Libya murdered in Benghazi, Libya on
9/11 of this year. It should never have happened. Given the conditions on the ground,( something very close to anarchy,
the arms bazaar is alive and well), it's incredulous that the American State Department would have assigned any of
their representatives there. Especially someone with a profile like an ambassador. Contrast the protections afforded
Chris Stevens(4 Navy SEALS; I would include "Libyan Security Personnel", but they're part of the problem) with those
of Jerry Bremer(our first Ambassador in post-invasion Iraq). Bremer didn't go anywhere without a cadre of Blackwater
bodyguards next to his person and a Company of Army Rangers on his perimeter.
Americans have not been welcome in Libya since 1969, when Qaddafi took over and threw us out.(Actually, we've never
been welcome. But some, like Armand Hammer, were tolerated. Hammer was the American oilman who ran the Libyan
oil economy for Qaddafi's predecessor, King Idris). What made Obama think that Libya was safe enough for us to have
an Embassy there, fully staffed? The "Arab Spring" won't stop Libyans(or islam) from hating us. The only thing Libyans
hate more than COL Qaddafi is America. Last year, rebel forces found Qaddafi's hideout and executed him. And this year, on 9/11, ........ So Obama, what gives? I know you're young and inexperienced Mr. President; that can't be helped. But I would never have guessed you were stupid.
You're a Harvard grad. What happened?

It makes me very sad when people use what is a dreadful tragedy for a family, and for a country, as an excuse for political point scoring :(
