I prefer to have hardback books in my bookcase cos they look better but I think paperbacks are easier to read. A lot of books are only coming out as paperback now i think.

Hardcover for canonical works, and anything else I'd borrow from a library.

I love hardcovers, theres just something about how they feel, you know ( and they look nice in the bookshelf too :) ), but mostly I buy paperbacks if I buy new books, hardcovers are expensive. When I buy used books, or go to a sale, it doesn´t matter, cause it´s cheap(er) anyway. The books or series that I want to keep and read many times I want as hardcovers.

I like paperback, it's easier to flip through the pages and I just like the feel of it more. There's also the lower price 8)

If it is by one of my favorite authors, and I can't wait for the paperback, and I don't want it in e-book form, I'll go with the hardcover. Otherwise I'll wait for the paperback.

There's nothing like a hardcover for me! I read paperbacks too, of course (and they are easier to carry around!), but hardcovers just feel and read right to me!

Paperback I'd have to say so much flexibility hardbacks are just uncomforatably big, bulky,

I much prefer paperbacks, because they are cheaper, lighter and smaller. When I travel to university it's much easier to take a paperback with me. I do own some hard cover books, mostly bought them because they were cheap, but I find myself not reading them as much as my paperbacks because they're heavier. I'm not going to take a big heavy book with me when I travel (the same applies to some of my big paperback omnibus books). I find it much easier to hold a book in my hands that is smaller too (my hands aren't that big), so I prefer smaller paperbacks over bigger ones.

Paperback all the way. I enjoy how they're flexible and you can "bend them to your whims" (haha) as long as you're careful with them. Also, they tend to not be as heavy and clunky as hardbacks, so easier to carry places or travel with.
