I enjoyed this fantasy book and rated it 4 out of 4 stars, as it seems many readers have! I agree that it is not incredibly original, but does convey interesting fantasy themes and provides excellent characterization. I liked Galen's earnest exploration of his new life.

I really enjoyed the book and went on to read the next in the series. I will probably keep going. There is a lot of character and setting development in this book but the plot advances well and having that in this book allows of the story to speed up in the next book. My favourite part of the book was Eldus Alderman and I was really rooting for his success in Hillport.

I have never been a fun of science fiction but this time round i decided to try out one of the books.BOOM!We are voulhire blew my mind.There is a very unique and rare way that Tysz writes.He makes a fiction story appear so real.He makes readers want to find out more about the characters of the book,the likes of Galen and Meldorath.I totally love his characterization and his ability to handle more characters and making the minor characters so much involved in the story.
I give the book a three star-I had trouble with the flow of the story from one chapter to the next.
I would recommend it to people who would love a series novel.

I read the book and gave it a full rating of 4 out of 4 stars. There's nothing I disliked about the book. It was really very interesting. What I liked the most was how the author handled so many characters without losing the momentum. As well as the authors ability of keeping the reader on edge all through the story.

I felt like the story started out really slowly. And I understand some books start out slowly, because the reader has to get the background information and learn about the characters. But I only became interested in what I was reading when I was almost done with the book. It made me want to read the next books in the series.

I enjoyed the layout of the book. The switching back and forth of characters. Weaving the story together from all the characters different points of view.

There is an interesting sense of humor all throughout the book. It wasn’t necessarily my favorite because it was pretty crude.

I rated this a 3 out of 4 stars as there is a great deal of crude humor to it and has some disturbing elements that I did not care for. However, I liked the almost poetic style of writing, the characters, and the overally story just not enough to want to return to it with the other elements that I did not care for.

One of the things I really found interesting about this novel was the back and forth between first and third person to really get the full picture and the full story.

I think this book is an average science fiction novel. What I liked most is that the author cleverly organizes the chapters in the story, which means that the reader is not confused, but he can follow the coherent and logical flow of the story. On the other hand, I disliked the fact that the book was monotonous and boring in some cases, while I also thought it was cliche. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy science fiction novels because overall this book is well-written.

I enjoyed the author's writing style as it makes for a comfortable read. Although it started a bit slow, once it picked up, there is an easy flow to the story. I had the pleasure of reading New Arrival Under Great skies and I enjoyed it. Matthew Tysz has outdone himself in this Voulharian series. I liked the suspence that was throughout this story especially when it came to Meldorath's story.

I gave this book a perfect rating. I think Tysz did a great job of world building in the first book of the series, and the cliffhanger left me aching for the second book. It’s a great fantasy book and I’m interested to see where the story goes.
