I have only read a sample so far, but the introduction was enough to grab my attention. How a father could consider selling his own daughter, even if of a mixed-race, is beyond my comprehension. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to read this book at first, just because of its title and probable content, but I definitely am going to read it now!

As the old saying implies, if we don't learn from our history, then we are doomed to repeat it.

My heart breaks for Lily. Being sold and taken from her mom and forced to live with someone else, is just awful. I hope the ending does right by her.

I love historical fiction, I can't wait to give this book a go! It is definitely an unusual concept for the time period that it is set in, but that makes it even more intriguing to read!

This seems like an amazing book. I really enjoy romance and this seems like quite an emotional read. The story about a girl who was torn away from her mother has such deep emotional connotations. Excellent review!

A historical fiction with a touch of romance! It will be a good read for those who prefer the genre, but I will pass on this one since the genre is not my cup of tea. Congratulations on being BOTD and thanks for the free giveaway

A nice romantic historical book "The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden" by Londyn Skye, which focuses on Lily, who is on a pursuit to find her mother. She got separated from her mother after getting sold at an auction. Luckily, her master's son begins to like her. The book appears quite amazing to me.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This sounds like such an epic romance! I think I would enjoy reading about Lily growing up and her discovering the piano! I am curious about her punishment! You’ve definitely piqued my interest in this book! Thank you for a great review!

Although today's BOTD isn't the one for me, fans of historical romance will find this read to be engaging and well-written. Readers will be pulled in by the well-developed characters, and the moving storyline will keep them turning pages. Thank you for your review! Great work!

The review makes me want to read the book. The way the characters are explained makes it so interesting to want to know more of what is entailed in the book.

This is an amazing and suspenseful historical romance novel highlighting slavery, romance, deceit, freedom, interacial bias, and determination
The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

I love historical romances! I don't know if the switching dialogues will be too distracting, but I hope not.
I especially liked how you connected so much with the characters.
A wonderfully written review. Thank you!

This sounds like an emotionally driven book with an emphasis on the power of music. It sounds like Lily has found a way to find the silver lining in her otherwise difficult life. Being able to play the piano is such a gift. I like that the book has a romantic element as well. Thanks for the wonderful review.
