I normally don't read historical romance novels, but your review sounds very tempting.

It is amazing to know that this novel arouses mixed feelings such as horror, hope, and wonder to the reader. Stories about slavery always make me cry...though it gives hope at the end. We may never understand the depth of slavery and how people suffered until we read the stories like this one. Thank you for such great review.

I enjoyed your analysis of the book. Your comment that the writing was "exquisite" was very intriguing. What about it did you enjoy the most? Thanks for your review!

I enjoy historical romance and the fact that Lily is a piano prodigy is a nice twist.

Thanks for a great review. This book seems to include many different emotions, from the heat wrenching separation from her mother to the happiness she finds in playing the piano. I am very interested to read the romantic parts of the book and I hope the sequel is coming soon so the cliff-hanger is not left too long.

The storyline seems quite charming. I have been wondering why James, her friend, would punish her for playing a piano. I guess I have to read it to find out. Great job.

Historical romance isn't really my thing, but The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden sounds like a beautifully written book. Thank you for your great review!

I'm no fan of historical romances, so I won't be reading this book. However, that's no reason not to congratulate the author on receiving BOTD honors!

I equally have a fondness for the piano and couldn't help resonating with Lily on her passionate obsession. Great review.

Great review! The book does seem fairly interesting, but I did notice the switching of accents in just the first couple of chapters which threw me off. I have read a decent amount of historical fiction and I have to say the inconsistent speech is a pet peeve of mine, so I am unsure if I will continue to read this novel.

The fact that the book takes you a journey of experiencing different feelings makes it really exciting. I am an ardent reader of historical books, and thus I am adding it to my shelf. Thanks for the informative review.

I'm interested in how she got access to a piano in the first place - I know historical romances aren't known for their realism, but one can dream. Thanks for the great review!

Sounds great in review, but unfortunately completely not my cup of tea. This storyline is too closely related to slavery, racism, discrimination and all other unsavory topics for me to be able to enjoy reading it. No offense and most sincere congratulations on BOTD!

Surviving in this strange world that Lily was brought to isn't easy. The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden by Londyn Skye is an admirable enchanting book. I want to read and find out if Lily finally got her mother. Congratulations on the BOTD. Nice review.
Books are beautiful.
