Paperback or Hardcover?

paperback, it is so much easier to handle and easier to carry around.

I still occasionally read paper books and recently when I went to read Stephen Kings recent book about JFK, I chose hardcover. It was giant and nearly impossible to read in bed. It didn't help that the book was gigantic as well. SO for me at this point it is soft cover definitely

In my opinion, paperback is better because its easier to handle and we can take it with us anywhere in our bag.Also they get torn up easier which makes reading easy.

Hardback is good because your pages do not curl horribly forever.
Paperback is good because it is more comfortable to handle...

I prefer paperbacks because I'm forever falling asleep reading and if you roll over on a hardcover book it can be painful lol

I have had some serious strain due to those damn hardcovers in my bed.

I know! Thats why when my hubby got me a kindle, I got a nice squishy cover for it! lol

I much prefer hardcover because the book lasts longer and (in my opinion) looks a lot better. However, I feel that paperback is much easier to handle, but it often rips in the corners after long time use.

My vote is adamantly paperback. They're more comfortable to sit with and read, and when laying in bed, easier to hold up.

Plus, I actually like when they get sort of beat up and old looking. More personality.

The one exception? Old books. If we were including things like that, then I'd have to say old, leather bindings. But I think that's a different topic

NEITHER! They hold me back especially when I want to read at night. I used to fight with book lights and all that, but now I'm all about reading on my tablet via the nook app.

Paperback for this reader, hardcovers' are too weighty, I am not into large print as they are too weighty as well

I always seek out slim novels, as my reading time is too important get lost in looong novels.

Paperbacks for "one time read" books. Hardcover for reference books which will be used for years to come. Especially cookbooks which take a lot of abuse.
