Not quite yet Bighuey, they will need to try harder to keep me down. Im not on here as much for a fair few reasons most of them run of the mill life-related plus Im not reading as much these days, still love the community here though, I always found Maud a bit touch and go as well, she would turn up, go mad posting, then disappear again, Im sure she has her reasons as well.Bighuey wrote:Maybe the spooks in Loftus Hall came and got Mike.
Seems we have also seen less of Laci as well, although I havent been on as much so I dont know? One poster i did miss was Swing, she was really quirky and funny and seemed to be really into her books then literally one day she didnt post anymore, I hope she is well wherever she is.

I can understand that. Most people have families and work and I suppose that keeps them busy. I dont work, and my family is scattered all over two countries so I dont have much else to do but fool around on this computer. Altho lately I havent read a whole lot, Ive been busy with different things.StephenKingman wrote:Not quite yet Bighuey, they will need to try harder to keep me down. I so love cilantro! (We call it coriander over here.)Bighuey wrote:... I made a concoction of refried beans and chorizo, onions, peppers, tomatoes, celantro, cheese...
I had the pleasure of meeting Sir Patrick once, at a drinks party after one of his lectures. He was exactly the way you would imagine from his broadcasts. Very affable and charismatic. They don't make them like that any Moore! RIP, dear old chap.Fran wrote:Very sad to hear of the death of astronomer & broadcaster Sir Patrick Moore ...

Cilantro is good on just about anything. I mix it with tomatoes and onions, it makes a great taco sauce. I especially like to chop it up and put it on eggs.

Just heard that on our News here .... absolutely dreadful, how can people be so cruel? My deepest sympathy to all the families impactedGeneen Karstens wrote:What a terrible Christmas for the people in Newtown Connecticut. School shooting supposedly 26 dead including 18 children. There are certainly a lot of mixed up people in the US. It is so so sad.

Just can't come to terms with the magnitude of what's happened over there yet again.
Terrible, absolutely terrible.
