Well, actually the author has not just taken them in literal value, but has compared these events that happened in relation to the appearances of these Messiahs. After that only he had marked a pattern. So, if we do not take them in literal value, what about the promised Messiah that everyone (who believe) looking forward to? Is it just another riddle?Guda LM wrote: ↑08 Mar 2021, 23:11 History always repeats itself, yes. However, not everything is to be taken at face value, the bible is full of paradoxes and hidden meanings. I believe each country and region has its fair share of the five, bad events are always occurring on a yearly basis, some are global like climate change and covid-19, some are-specific. Election sare always occurring and at a point we always get a new crop of leaders, countries, and regions have always been at war at some point since historical times, most of the time propagated by selfish human reasons. Death is somethings even leaders cannot escape and since they are humans I do not see the big issue. I believe these are not to be taken at literal value.

I agree with you. The only reason we may see or think there is a form of repetition is because he is constantly doing what would benefit his children.Megamind136 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2021, 15:08 History might repeat it self when the dealings is piloted by man. I totally agree with you. History doesn't determine how God operates. What the author is simply driving at is that these hindrances will ultimately prevent the fulfilment of God's agenda which isn't true. When the set date for their fulfilment comes, certainly God's desires will be made manifest.Megamind136 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2021, 15:08 History might repeat it self when the dealings is piloted by man. I love this viewSushan wrote: ↑04 Mar 2021, 06:50Well, we can see similarities if we want to see them. And also if we want to see differences and say that history never repeats, we can do that as well. What matters is the perspective that we see from. As I believe, history may rhyme, but not repeat itselfBertha Jackson wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 17:20 History continually repeats itself. Look at the division in our country today. This division has many of the same aspects as the Civil War. Conditions in the Middle East today are similar to the times during the Bible.

Very true. For spiritual issues, it is best not to attach personal views. As one scripture says, whatever is God's, leave it to God and spiritual things are discerned spiritually.
