It seems a relative is just foisted onto Lea as a consequence of her parents’ problems. You say the focus is not on those parents, however, so that leaves them looking like the bad guys in this story. Hopefully, it won't put off some children from what seems to be a promising adventure story.

I feel this novel will be better intriguing if acted like a movie titled "Living with a stranger." I believe Lea and her aunt will be best of friends.

Lea's story is relatable. We all will almost have to come to that point to live with a relative that we are not familiar with. This is why I want to see the end of the story.

Right now, I've come to understand that to a large extent, parents' attributes influence the process of growing up a child. We tend to look at how Lea transformed in the event of separation by book parents. This is worthy to be read. Congratulations on the book of the day.

This would be just the kind of book that I would have loved as a younger girl. It has all the elements of a wonderful adventure. Even now, as an adult, I am enchanted by the idea. Many thanks for the excellent review.

I liked the first scene of this book and how it jumped right into action. It’s great that it’s so well edited. It seems like it would be perfect for fans of YA books. Thanks for a nicely detailed review.

Interesting...I wonder what part of historical fiction would blend in with the story. Since this is my kind of read, I can't wait to find out! Lea sounds very relatable, and I'd love to read her coming-of-age story. Thanks for the review.

What a difficult summer Lea is going to face! Transitioning from childhood to adulthood is a challenge in itself. Now Lea has to adjust to her parents' separation, too. Will her Texas sojourn with her stranger aunt make things better?

I believe this book would interest a lot of young readers ages 8-14 years as mentioned in the review, as the story revolves around the central character who is a young adult. There would also be some learning experiences for the readers as they delve into this adventurous story that portrays the emotional turmoil faced by the main character of the story.
