The topic is surely an original one, and it sounds like the author made a good story out of it. Just a shame that the ending was not completely satisfactory.

I don't generally enjoy political books. Although this book is interesting to think about because of the ship that was stuck in the Suez canal, it doesn't interest me. Thanks for a great review.

Thanks for your review. It seems that the political element is quite strong here, through the expansion of the Panama canal and the America-China relationship.

I enjoyed reading your review. I also read this book and found the details about the Panama Canal and all of the work that went into it fascinating. It was a very interesting book to read.

Sounds like an interesting book and like it has something for everyone. I'm a big fan of thrillers, but I don't like the whole cliffhanger thing either, especially if I know I have to wait long. So I think I'll pass. Thank you for the great review!

This seems like an intriguing thriller developed in a realistic setting connected to a big engineering project with twists that keep the readers' interest until the end. Thank you for your great review!

I am really not that drawn to political books but the aspects involving spying got me hooked to this book. Congrats BOTD.

I liked the backstory for Max, one of the main characters, at the beginning of the novel. I can imagine how competitive it would be for a project that many nations around the world would be anxious to win. There are some parts of the book that do not appeal to me, but I can agree that it is a fast-paced and exciting thriller. Thanks for the thoughtful and concise review on this novel.

"The Expansion" by Christoph Martin - Hermano and Fredo. Max Burns (Hermano), responsible for the expansion of the Panama Canal brings him back into business with a school friend called Godfredo (Fredo) Rocco. Godfredo is under the thumb of his brutal father Paco Rocco; they run a Construction Group in Panama. Paco hears from the Prince of Panama, with what he calls a “retirement plan” which will be to the detriment of the expansion of the Panama Canal. Intrigue all the way. Thanks for the excellent review.

An action-packed novel with complex characters seems intriguing, but I'm not a fan of books about espionage.

The act of vying for international Engineering projects is certainly one I have very little knowledge about and I appreciate a book that sheds more light on this. Great review.

An interesting book that has a story based on the actual competition towards winning the Panama canal expansion. The theme is indeed intriguing, I will definitely read this book.
Congratulations on Botd 🎉

This book sounds interesting especially when it involves expanding something so great and memorable like the Panama Canal and the business world.

I love crime thrillers and this one meets all the criteria. The airport theme further adds to it. Congratulations on the BOTD.
