Thank you for a great review. It seems to be as interesting as the book must be. I enjoy this genre and look forward to reading more of this story. Well-developed characters and an intriguing plot are always welcome in any novel.

This seems like a very realistic scenario – I can certainly see the need and the possibility of expanding the Panama canal (given some rather recent events). It's a shame that the book ended on a cliffhanger. Thanks for the great review!

Max Burns leaves his entire life behind and enters into a tricky world that involves corporate espionage. This thriller gives us no clue of what the end solution would be so it has sparked my interest. Thanks

This book starts off with a bang and from the sections that I read, I expect it moves quickly and entertainingly just as mentioned in the Official Review. However, I'll be passing on this one as I'm not interested in reading a book with a cliffhanger, suggesting that the book is part of a series. Nevertheless, I wish the author congratulations on achieving BOTD honors.

You did a very descriptive view, of how the author pulled us in. The sucking us in and the glued to the page. The storyline was presented well also. When I started reading I wasn’t sure I would like the book, as I continued reading, your review, I became more inclined to read this book. Great review.

Wonderful review but it does not sound like my kind of book. I would prefer if it is more straightforward without the here and there or lots to read in it as you have mentioned. I hope someday I would be able to reconsider it but for now, it is a no

A nice glimpse into the cutthroat business world and continuous corporate espionage can be got from the book "The Expansion" by Christoph Martin, which follows a British geomatics engineer, Max Burns, who embarks on the opportunity to be a part of a British company which tries to win the contract to expand the Panama Canal. The plot appears quite entertaining to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The C/T/M/H genre is usually my first choice, so I guess I am definitely part of the target audience. The storyline seems quite complex, and I am usually not fond of a big cliffhanger at the end. Time to check if there is a sequel 😉.
