Paperback or Hardcover?

I prefer the hardcover but I only buy them on sale usually. I can't afford $30 when there's a paperback for half that price.

I very rarely buy a hardcover, my main reason is the weightiness of the H/C, also in the areas where I do my trawling (pre loved) they only tend to have paperbacks. I am finding that my local municipal library are tending to stock up with large print novels, and they seem to have hardcovers. Another good reason for soft cover is that I recycle my books to our in house library at the Retirement Village where I live, and here again paperbacks are the best for all of the readers!!

It depends on the type of book your reading...some books just seem to be made for hardcover.

I prefer paperback because they are easier to handle/hold.... or now I also love reading on my Kindle Touch.

Paperback but the last few books I read were eBooks and I am having fun with the new format.

I prefer paperbacks, as I take a book in my purse when I go out. I do have a few hardcovers which I tend to keep. I don't keep my paperbacks.

I got more peparbacks than hardbacks since paperbacks are more convenient (smaller size, lower price, leaves more room on the shelves, and you can put it anywhere to read whenever and wherever you want). My hardbacks are usually second hand.

I usually go for paperback, although I'll buy which ever is cheaper, which has been hardback a few times.

Strangely enough, I prefer the hardback to the paperback. I guess it's just the desire to feel weightiness in my hands.

I must say I prefer paperbacks bacause of my budget but I also own second-hand hardbounds. Usually, I only buy booksfrom Booksale where I can find a lot of inexpensive books.
