Does not seem like my kind of book but I can see how it could entertain a younger audience than myself. I can only applaud its horizontal diversity. It's not that side that puts me off. it is the lack of an oldie like me to identify with!

The two things that grabbed my attention was a diverse MC and clairvoyance. You did mention that the supporting characters were moulded as per the convenience of the MC, so that has me feeling a bit skeptical about reading the book, but I'll give it a try.

It does sound like a shame that the characters other than the protagonist aren't developed so well. Giving depth to all the characters does add a lot to the story. But it sounds like a good YA book. So I will check it out.

I love the cover of this book, and from the pages that I read, Rion, the book's protagonist, seems like a great character. But based on the review, I'll be skipping this one. As did the Official Reviewer, I came across several errors as well within the first few pages, and that type of distraction gives me pause when reading a book. However, I'd like to offer congratulations to the book's author on being awarded BOTD.

A story in which the main character is "gifted" with telekinetic abilities. Apart from the subject of the clairvoyants and telekinetics, the subject of the adaptation of an unsociable personage in a group that forms bonds and must trust each other is addressed. It looks interesting.
