Does not seem like my kind of book but I can see how it could entertain a younger audience than myself. I can only applaud its horizontal diversity. It's not that side that puts me off. it is the lack of an oldie like me to identify with!

I advocate for diversity, not only in YA, but in all media. So, kudos to the author for that. However, it irks me when authors bend the plot and/or characters to suit their needs without congruence.
Thank you for your conscientious review.

Wow thanks for the excellent review. I appreciate the honesty and the great attention to detail. Your summary alone made me want to read this, though I do hope the grammatical errors you mentioned don't make it too difficult to read.

This does seem like a nice young adult novel though the rapid pacing is not quite my cup of tea.

This book looks good. But the whole superpowers thing is not for me.

This story seems to bring a new light to the plot of the introvert teenager who becomes a hero. I'm going to give this a try.

I like that the protagonist is black. I wonder what is his superpower, aside from being a clairvoyant. Thanks for your review.

The two things that grabbed my attention was a diverse MC and clairvoyance. You did mention that the supporting characters were moulded as per the convenience of the MC, so that has me feeling a bit skeptical about reading the book, but I'll give it a try.

Judging just by the cover I would never have considered this book. However, after reading this review I will give it a try.

Congrats on being the book of the day! Clairvoyance sounds like an interesting topic to write a book on. I am saddened to hear that the supporting characters are not developed properly because that is one of the aspects I enjoy most about a book.

It does sound like a shame that the characters other than the protagonist aren't developed so well. Giving depth to all the characters does add a lot to the story. But it sounds like a good YA book. So I will check it out.

I love the cover of this book, and from the pages that I read, Rion, the book's protagonist, seems like a great character. But based on the review, I'll be skipping this one. As did the Official Reviewer, I came across several errors as well within the first few pages, and that type of distraction gives me pause when reading a book. However, I'd like to offer congratulations to the book's author on being awarded BOTD.

Awesome review!
From the sample I’ve read and your review, I believe this book will be a great read. I’ve only read the first chapters and the writing seemed poetic with the way the author described things.

A story in which the main character is "gifted" with telekinetic abilities. Apart from the subject of the clairvoyants and telekinetics, the subject of the adaptation of an unsociable personage in a group that forms bonds and must trust each other is addressed. It looks interesting.
