Thank you for your review. The sample seemed very interesting. Too bad so many errors and not enough time expanding on the side characters.

This young-adult sci-fi novel is about a black teen with kinetic powers. He is well developed, but the side characters lack some depth. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Nice review!

Thank you for an insightful review! I love paranormal YA books and this sounds right up my alley. It's a shame about the side characters, but perhaps they will have their time in a sequel?

The Fourth Kinetic seems to have thrilling movements in its plot, and I would like to know how the telekinetic abilities of the protagonist protect him from his enemies.

I've not read any comic books in my lifetime where the main character was a black male. I love this aspect of the book already because inclusion is needed in today's time in all sectors of the world. The plot is what's drawing me and what makes me want to read this book and find out why there are 4 - instead of 3 - clairvoyants. Congrats on being BOTD!

The review was a good read by itself. I applaud the author for his diverse characterization, but the lack in supporting characters is a bummer.

This young adult novel sounds like an interesting one. I like that the "book celebrates diversity in the portrayal of the other characters". However, I'm not a fan of this genre. Otherwise, congrats on the BOTD!

I am glad to hear the author included a diverse cast, as this is missing from many books of this genre. I also think that a protagonist who has not-so-likable traits can make for a unique and interesting story if done correctly. I hope this book receives the editing it needs. Thank you for your review!

One thing I like about this novel is the omniscient point of view which allows the plot to grow in Rion's perspective. I also like the fact that despite the special powers, the writer still allows Rion to be human enough. He still has some issues beyond his control which made him vulnerabe.
I have watched a movie with similar character as Rion, where a little girl of about 4 years possessed this telekinesis . One thing they share in common is they always have some family issues. In the case of Maltida, her two parents are alive but they really don't care about her . And Maltida dislikes that her father is a dishonest business man. In different occasions she uses her powers to punish her father for deceiving and defrauding people.
Like Rion people dislike her because they think she's odd. Also like Rion Maltida uses her powers not just for adventure but to help some people who are disadvantaged in some ways.
I would really like to read this novel to the end.

He was an unexpected hero. There were supposed to be only three but he surprisingly became the fourth one. Wow, what a story. Thank you for the great review. Congratulations on being botd.

You wrote a detailed review. This sounds like my kind of book, given that I'm more of a plot-oriented reader. I don't often read books with POC protagonists, so this is something I'd pick. Congratulations on the BOTD.
