At first I was very against the eBook "movement". However, I have a nook and an iPad and have found that at the speed in which I read a book and the type of books I read it is perfect. I have found that with short novels of 300 pages the eBook version helps when I travel because I don't have to take more then one book. Although as a side note I have never given myself a fat lip with a regular book when I feel asleep reading it.

Although I am also a designer and the eReaders don't work well for books that are profession related since the reference is too difficult at work. The people at work have a tendency to think you aren't actually doing work if you are using a reference book on your iPad.

I like both because I can purchase the free ones on my Kindle. I actually pay good money for the hard copies. If I read a free ebook and don't like it I won't buy the hard copy. I only buy what I like. Now if I was reading a hard copy from the library I could check it out and depending on if I liked it depends on if I would buy it or not.

I prefer hardback -- except when traveling. Lugging 3 or 4 books onto a plane is tough. It may be my ADHD but I like to read one book for an hour or so and then switch off and read another for a while, I'm not the type who read one thing straight through. Kindle has been wonderful in that respect, it's so light and convenient for traveling.

I have owned a Kobo reader for quite some time now, but I rarely use it. I also have ebooks on my tablet which I enjoy for how quick they are to download, as well as for traveling. Even though I read on my tablet, I still prefer having the hardcover. Having the feel of the actual book in your hands just adds to the experience. To me reading a good book is losing myself in whole other world, sometimes I get so into a book I can completely ignore everything going on around me :D I also like being able to look at my bookshelf and see what Ive read, rather than have them stored in a computer. I definitely prefer hard cover over ebooks.

I love them both. What I like about the e-book is that is so accesible. I finish one book and I dont have to get dressed and go to the store. The books are only a click away, I do enjoy that.
Having said that, there is nothing like the comfort of a book in your hands. Cuddle up in a sofa while holding your book, is amazing.

I have to say I actually prefer the e-book because it's right at my fingertips and instead of holding a bulky book I just hold my Kindle (the old version). The old style Kindle is much lighter and easy on the eyes. The books are cheaper and no matter what format they're in they still portray the same message to the reader. I have some friends who are still not keen on the e-reader experience and prefer to buy the books in store, but I think that might have something to do with the coffee shop being right there. ;)

Since I have always hated hard covered books, I will always take the PB or e-book version over Hard Covers.

I'm all about the e-book. I've saved so much money that way. Not to mention I don't have to worry about running out of reading material on vacation.

I prefer physical copies because I don't have an ereader - and I don't plan on having one soon - and I don't like to spend that much time in from of the computer

When it comes to reading i refuse to read ebooks as to me reading is about being able to hold the book in my hand.

I have always felt the same way as most of you and still do prefer the paper pages to the ebook version. However as I'm getting older I notice the print is getting smaller and it's harder to read. Therefore I am liking my ebooks more and more. The print size seems to be larger, darker, and the light from it is great. My libraries carry a large selection of ebooks, so I can still read for free. Reading is a freedom I am very thankful for.

I did not want an ereader. We agreed to get one for our daughter and they got together and got me one, too. Well, I got a light for my kindle which makes it a wonderful thing at night, it shuts off after a bit when I stop turning pages! If only the TV would do that. My husband said he would shut off the lamp and close my book - usually, bless his soul. losing my place, but once I got glasses he said he was not going to take those off me! Well, kindle acquired, , problem solved. Font as big as I want! Next time I turn it on, page automatically bookmarked! Yes, I thought I would hate it too, i love curling up with a book in my hands. and the smell, and the feeling - the book I just read I actually went to the library to get a copy because I couldn't figure out what was going on and I couldn't search back and forth in the kindle fast enough when I got lost!!!! So I still read books, too, but I have to say I like the kindle more than I ever wanted to.
