Sister B by Daivid Charles Hart is a good book. In which Clem is a ****** was arrested for suspicious of murder and due to fall in love with white women. It’s not allowed to fall in love with black man to a white woman in Mississippi. We have to judge how far it’s correct when it comes to love.

Racism is still a big menacing issue and I appreciate books that shine light on this. Sister B is a strong woman and I believe she left everything, including her son so she can create a better life for them. What would become of her? The only way to find out is to read the book!

Sister B is a story about a young African American born in the South before WWII that decides she has had enough of the racial prejudice in the southern states and leaves her 6-year-old son with family and she move to Portland, Oregon. She finds racial tension but excels at her first job and is promoted to bigger and better positions. She meets an Asian man named Akio that is also experiencing racial tensions. He takes a job for the Japanese government to take pictures of the American west coast not knowing then that the Japanese government would use these pictures in their planning for WWII. A very good review.

Unfortunate as it is, still in this era where racial discrimination still exists ,this book would enlighten on the struggles that people go through and how extra hard they have to work to fit in.

Sister B sounds like an interesting woman with an unyielding spirit and willingness to fight for the rights of African Americans. Her dedication seems commendable enough. Nice review.

Sister B by David Charles Hart sounds like a fascinating read. Willa Mae, popularly by the name Sister B, a black American, through her eyes we see how racial discrimination can be. This book sounds to be inspiring as well. Thanks for this insightful review. It really gave a glimpse of what the book is all about.

:techie-studyingbrown: Couldn't stop turning the pages. The book is about a woman looking for a better life for her family. Sister B travel from Mississippi in
South, to California to Oregon because of the racism happening in South. I enjoyed reading the book, it's a nice historical fiction.

Sister B by David Charles Hart sounds like a fascinating story. This book discusses topics such as racial discrimination. It is one of the sadest issue around some parts of the world. I wish in the end Sister B reconciles with her son.

Not my kind of read but seems like readers could learn from this book. I'm sure many will appreciate and enjoy it.

While I love the character of Sister B, I'll have to pass on this book. The topic of racial discrimination is one that makes me sad each time.

I don't think I can bear the pain of reading about torture, especially after going through the first few pages.

I still think it'll be a good read for those who can stand it.
