I highly recommend "Words and Music", an Audible Original by Alanis Morisette.

Words and Music is Alanis Morisette's memoir of her music career. It also feels like an answer to every interview question she's been asked. She goes into her spirituality, personal life, hard times, inner pain, and it's so moving to think about all that she went through to create her beautiful, emotionally provocative music. Each chapter of her talking is followed by a raw acoustic performance of one of her songs. Listening to these helped me appreciate what an impact her music had on my childhood and teen years. She was a real source of inspiration for me. I would listen to her songs and feel good that there is someone out there who gets it. Alanis is very humble, but her contribution to the music world and making it a better place for young women (it's still not great, but she called attention to many important issues) cannot be understated. Alanis fans definitely need to check this out.

I will add this to my list of things to check out! She has an absolutely gorgeous voice and the candor of the lyrics and actions in some of the videos I've seen are so touching! Thanks for sharing!
