Having read and enjoyed the previous two books of this series, I am looking forward to reading the final installment, too. Thanks for the review!

I do not know much about the real lives of indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest, but I think that it would be interesting to read what the story is about. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

Totem involves Sarah Cooley's ordeals with her grandfather, their life is going well until something unplanned happens. I like the plot and storyline of the book. There's a secret that's waiting to be revealed, and I hope the book ends well. I think this book would be a great read for me. Thanks for your review.

I'm not a fan of historical fiction novels but this seems interesting. I wonder what happened to the elks and why are they being killed. Great review.

As someone with a bit of a busy schedule, I love books with a steady pacing and to the point, crisp writing. From the review and the sample, I read, Totem, seems to be just that book. The storyline itself doesn't appeal to me much. A migration across the valleys and hills, documenting the struggle of the voyage, just isn't my cup of tea for an afternoon read, but adventure story lovers will surely appreciate this book.
