I don’t really like any romance in the books that I read. I did enjoy hearing that Lilly ended up being able to do all she pleased.

It's understandable why Lilly would be wary of forgiving and trusting anyone, as her marriage was a disaster right from the beginning. I'm eager to find out how Lilly turned her life around with no support from family.

This sounds interesting. I hope that Lilly finds the missing money, I guess there's a mystery there too. Thanks for your review.

It seems like there is a lot of grief and coping with it. I can't imagine what a loss of a mother at such a young age feels like. Thank you for including trigger warnings. Great review.

I like historical fiction, romance, and Christian fiction, and this one sounds intriguing. I'm curious about what the inconsistent detail about Marcel's character will be. I'm not sure how the details will influence my enjoyment of the story. Thank you for a wonderful review. Congratulations on BOTD!

I love Christian fiction and historical fiction, and the two combined together are right up my alley! This is a book I will definitely be checking out. Thanks for the excellent review!

Lily seems a strong character. It appears that the author maintains the suspense throughout the book. But, I, generally, don't read the romance genre. So, I am going to pass this one. Thanks for this great review.

I am always eager to read through any mystery novel regardless of how more/less prominent it features in a novel. However, I will be taking a pass on the novel since I am not a fan of romance novels.

I do not feel like reading this book, at all. I think it's because Lilly's experiences are too chilling for me at the moment. Thank you for the wonderful and informative review, however! I hope someone else would appreciate this for me.

This is a good work of romance, and I think I would love to read this book. The book delves into the ordeals of Lily and how she survived them. Although there are flaws within the book, it still makes sense. Thanks for your review.

I find the story emotional, It's Sad enough that she lost her mother at a young age, married off and lost her father. but just when she was starting to recover, she lost her inheritance.
The father gave her up for marriage to an older guy, she was mistreated but she endured till his death, its so bad that even after his death she was still suffering. People judging her and using her. I can only imagine how sad her life was.
Lily is a strong woman, a fighter, over comer and very hopeful.
For someone who isn't too much into reading am happy I chose this book. It's relatable but also has teachings. :techie-studyinggray:

Arranged marriage and domestic abusive was a common thing then, and it's still subtly happening now.
I consider those as strong themes in the book. I like that that the author developed the character of Lilly to a relatable point. A relatable book is a good book to me.

Amazing review, weldone.

Lilly Perkins' story is one of the kind you will classify as lesson-filled. I like that it involves "skillfully crafted well-developed characters with strong personalities." I also like that it consist of themes of forgiveness and trust. This is a must-read book. Congrats on the BOTD!
